Dog walking in the Winter

So far this winter we’ve been blessed with absolutely mild non-winter conditions.  Yes we’ve had some rain and walking outside with the dogs has resulted in muddy paws (and a few muddy floors) but we haven’t had the well below freezing temperatures, snow or wind chills to deal with.  But with a return to minus temperatures and snow this week, I thought it would be a good idea to go over some of the things to keep in mind so that both you and your dog can enjoy ‘the great outdoors’.  The chart below summarizes these tips and guidelines pretty thoroughly. For #4, I prefer to use a Training Collar.  And I particularly like the #1:  Make sure you are properly dressed for the conditions!
