I get a big thrill out of seeing dog owners who’ve been through our training programs enjoying a better relationship with their dogs. And when they share their experience, it’s even more satisfying. Here are some recent experiences:
Have to share a success with our Miss Eva. We have participated in the Social Obedience classes for a few months now as this pup had some anxiety troubles following an eye injury that affected her vision as well as a leash-free attack over the winter. Since joining the class, not only has her confidence risen, but mine as well. Walks are relaxing, enjoyable and even if there are approaching dogs who aren’t behaving, she and I both can handle it with grace and are able to carry on. During house renovations, Eva is currently with our boarder – who has looked after her numerous times and takes care to ensure she is safe and not in any position to make her anxious due to her blindness in one eye and previous experience. I can happily report she is more playful and confident than ever. Thank you to The Dog Stop/Arlene for the incredible lessons and to the classmates who have concurrently met their challenges with their chins held high and their dog’s tails wagging!!
Arlene will give you the training tools you need to deal with your reactive pup. Nico and I have only been in The Social Obedience class for a few months and the improvement in Nico’s social skills and managing her reactivity with other dogs have greatly improved. Even my dad noticed how much more attentive she was to him and less reactive to other dogs when he took her for a walk. Thank you Arlene for helping me to train Nico to be a more balanced dog.
Roxie has been going there since it opened. I never worry about her in there. The people are awesome in there. I would recommend them anytime (Roxie is in our Daycare Program).
